Robot Billy is a game developed for the University of Twente in collaboration with Aleisha Farrel, PhD. The game helps parents to engage in a more open dialogue with their children on the subject of emotions. The story follows the titular protagonist, Robot Billy, on his quest to earn a human heart. Parent and child play the game together at the same time, while playing the game they will encounter various assignments or mini-games that stimulate an open dialogue about a variety of emotions. A smart reward system encourages the child to repeat these activities until the exercise really leaves a lasting impression and noticeably improve the relationship between the child and the parent.
